Hopewood House video

I had the privilege of working again with Manuel Vicente Photography and Way up High Videographer for a fabulous photoshoot at Hopewood House, Bowral, Southern Highlands.

What an exciting day it is when you are working not only with great photographers, plus a beautiful wedding venue set amidst a hundred year old garden. Glorious sunshine and the wondered hosts and owners of Hopewood, Jan and Tim Storrier aided a comfortable successful day.

Blessed with very a handsome groom and beautiful bride and bridesmaid, we were able to take shots at the grand door of Hopewood, and in those wonderful gardens.

Its so creative to work with a new face, new hair and be able to create it the way the artist sees! I had absolutely no idea what I would do for our bride’s hair until I was half way through it …experience certainly played a very good place in my work this morning! It all came together and an elegant but unique style eventuated. Its important to create a makeup that is not too heavy for high definition photography but maintain structure and definition, which was easy to do on this very beautiful bride. Experience helps to almost subconsciously style appropriately which I think also worked successfully with our bridesmaid. Not over the top, but a gentle and soft look.

So what makes a successful shoot? Amazingly talented photographers who have confidence in a makeup and hair artist’s abilities. Whatever I did on the day, they loved. Each artist giving of their best during that short space of time. The photographs say it all.
